This tipi wedding in Bristol with Tipi Events near Chew Valley Lake was one of those days you wish you could relive again and again. Amy and Dan (both insanely beautiful people inside and out) got hitched at their local church in Clifton with an impressive amount of friends and family by their side.
The sun shone brightly as the day began at the Hilton hotel near Bristol airport, where Dan and his groomsmen got ready. The boys looked super slick in their two tone 3-piece suits in navy and grey. They couldn’t help but strike a different pose every 5 seconds! The laughter and pure joy in the air set the tone for what was to come.
Together with her mother and bridesmaids, Amy began preparing in a beautiful Georgian house that she calls home. She had kept her gorgeous dress a secret so that she could surprise her bridesmaids outside in the garden, and wow what a reaction!
The ceremony was simply stunning. Beautiful poems were read and hymns were sung whole heartedly. The love for the newlyweds was real. Guests then began to mingle with one another in the church lobby where cake and tea was served by another one of our lovely couples! Peter and Kristina are great friends of Amy and Dan and their wedding can be found here.
We snuck Amy and Dan away into the countryside for some beautiful portraits. Amy being a dancer and natural performer together with Dan being the legend that he is, meant these guys were awesome to shoot. We started in wild fields, walked through a forest and almost got stuck in the middle of some really tall grass! Anything for the perfect shot!
We then headed toward the reception venue that overlooks Chew Valley Lake. Tipi Events created the most beautiful rustic and alternative giant tipi for Amy and Dan and their guests to enjoy the remainder of the day together.
Hilarious speeches were told, stories were shared and happy tears began to fall. The evening hog roast was amazing and so was the first dance. Amy and Dan had secretly rehearsed an epic routine that began as the two of them until the last 30 seconds where a mob of their friends joined in! Guests were speechless, we were speechless, it couldn’t have gone any better!
As the last light began to soften we snuck the guys out once more for some cheeky photos in a nearby scheduled field. These two are perfect for each other and it was such a pleasure to document such a special event. The evening proceeded onto the dance floor where more crazy shapes were thrown as Dan crowd-surfed from one side of the room to the other!
Amy and Dan finished the night off in style with an epic sparkler exit! All we can say is what a couple and what a wedding!
