Peak District Elopement | Jordan & Leanne
This intimate Peak District elopement was far too much fun. What better way to spend a cold and wet Saturday morning than hiking up steep boggy paths whilst trying to keep a flower-crown on your head?!
We’ve known Jordan and Leanne for many years. They are extremely kind and two of the most generous people we know and we’re so happy to call them good friends of ours. After chatting with Leanne we mentioned how we’d love to shoot more elopements in the middle of nowhere when she declared that she would love an excuse to put her wedding dress back on. After a few conversations back and fourth, together with Leanne, we organised the perfect adventure.
Flowers and crown were generously supplied by the lovely Frond and Bloom a Nottingham based florist. Gorgeous hues of green, pink and ivory complimented the clouds’ grey silky tones along with Jordan’s slick navy suit. Leanne spent the morning at home with The Bridal Artists and Make Up By Jenni, multi award winning makeup artists. Once looking absolutely fabulous, we met at the local pub for a bite to eat. We patiently huddled together by the window as the torrential rain began to simmer down.
As soon as we began our journey, there was simply no stopping these two lovebirds. Both full of energy and a clear zest for life they couldn’t stop smiling, giggling and laughing as they skipped along hand in hand up the steep slopes to the top. We couldn’t believe how easily Leanne trekked up the hill in heels, what a hero! Half way up we were met by a group of guys tearing up the terrain on their dirt bikes. It was pretty awesome and one guy couldn’t resist posing for a cheeky photo.
It was such a pleasure to document the love these two have for each other. They were so relaxed and the chemistry was truly infectious. We came away feeling so inspired and excited to shoot more of this style of photography, we seriously can’t wait for next one!
