The moody autumn morning was a perfect setting for this romantic riverside wedding located in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Rory and his groomsmen got ready together in the gorgeous Thames Riviera Hotel overlooking the River Thames. The guys wore a light grey 3-piece suit and rich red ties. Rory chose to wear spectacular two-tone brogues that brilliantly complimented his black and white ‘groom’ socks (a novelty gift from his groomsmen).

Hannah and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready in her family home. With champagne flowing and great music in the background the girls helped each other to perfect their hair and make-up. Hannah looked incredible in a low backed ivory dress with delicate beaded straps. Rory surprised his bride to be with the loveliest collection of jewellery to match her bouquet of red roses and Monsoon bridesmaid dresses.

Everybody gathered round in excitement as Hannah revealed her dress for the first time. We love having the opportunity to capture those first expressions and tears of joy! You may recognise a few faces here because we had the pleasure of documenting Hannah’s sister Kate’s wedding earlier in the year!

Together we journeyed to the historic All Saints Church in the heart of Maidenhead, where the ceremony took place. Afterwards, the guests gathered together to congratulate the newlyweds showering them in heart shaped confetti from head to toe!

Ae everyone made their way to the reception, we hung back for a few precious moments at the church. A glass of celebratory champagne and a chance to take it all in. Unfortunately their ride to the reception had broken down but luckily we had an extra couple of seats in the back and so came to the rescue! Hannah + Rory saw the funny side and actually had a trick up their sleeve for their grand arrival.

We dropped Hannah + Rory at the River Arts Club Hotel where they were spending the night and head towards the Maidenhead Rowing Club where guests were enjoying the view from the balcony. Hannah + Rory (now sporting a charming sailors hat) got into a small boat named Ophelia and rode down the river for a grand entrance. Everybody cheered with excitement as they sailed passed, waving to the crowd like the celebrities they so effortlessly appeared to be, it was hilarious!

They had chosen to have amazing food from around the world as a nod to their passion for travel and culture. Speeches were emotional, kind and straight from the heart. As the light began to fade we ventured out onto the riverside for portraits. The evening air was calm, the water gently lapped the edge as Hannah + Rory took one last walk hand in hand before their first dance.

With drinks flowing, dance moves getting weirder and bridesmaids getting up to sing, it was the perfect end to a fantastic day!
