This Royal Inn on the Park wedding in Hackney, followed an intimate ceremony at Hackney Town Hall. Marcie and Gonzalo were joined by their friends and family from all over the world to celebrate their love. This was a beautiful combination of different cultures and traditions. It was a day full of laughter, singing, hugs and most importantly dancing!!
We love getting the opportunity to document weddings in London and from the moment we spoke to Marcie and Gonzalo and talked through their plans, we knew their day was going to be one to remember. We began in the heart of East London’s Borough of Hackney with Marcie and close family in her gorgeous apartment. The sun shone through the living room as Marcie put on her stunning Made With Love Bridal gown bought from Heart Aflutter Bridal Boutique, with accessories to match.
Gonzalo was as cool as a cucumber entertaining his friends and relatives at the iconic Hackney Empire Bar. Together with his mother in arm who flew in from Argentina to be there, they headed over to Hackney Town Hall. The ceremony was laid-back, fun and full of emotion. You could feel the energy and love in the room where so many people were beaming with joy for the newlyweds.
After confetti on the stairs outside Hackney Town Hall we took Marcie and Gonzalo for some beautiful couple portraits whilst their guests were seated on a vintage red London bus that they had hired especially. Together we headed to the evening reception at Royal Inn on The Park, a local East London Pub that caters for weddings and events.
Marcie and Gonzalo had mentioned that they have many special memories together at Victoria Park and thought it would be a nice idea to take some portraits there in the evening. We absolutely love it when we get to go to meaningful places with our couples because it makes their photos just that extra bit more personal to them.
The rest of the evening was filled with drinks and laughter as their guests got to know and enjoy each other. The speeches were heart felt and were only made better when the traditional Argentinian band sang and all the guests enthusiastically joined in, waving their serviettes above their heads.
As the sun set, the atmosphere continued to liven up. There were some impressive moves on the dance floor as the incredible and very talented DJ played tune after tune after tune. The party went on into the night, such an epic day of celebrations!!
We’re so thankful to have been invited along to photograph such a special day and look forward to being back in London for the next Royal Inn on the Park wedding.
